IAPT/Talking Therapies

IAPT Derbyshire clients must be over 18 (16,17-year-olds may be considered where clinically appropriate), registered with a Derbyshire GP Practice. Their psychological/emotional difficulties must be of mild-moderate severity, with no serious risk issues either current or within the last 3 months, be motivated for treatment, able to engage in short term psychological therapy, and be able to tolerate an increase in affect that is likely to occur as part of treatment. We cannot expedite or conduct urgent appointments.

They have access to areas such as safe haven house which can be a supported bridge to avoid A&E.

Please note - the CAMHS RISE team are here to help you when young people who are experiencing acute mental distress – such as when they have seriously self-harmed or are experiencing suicidal feelings.
