Access to the service is via open referral. People can self refer or another health care professional can refer into the service.

(Children must be referred by GP or School Nurse)

Children's Continence Service: A small nurse-led community service working within Derby City and Derbyshire. We support children and young people 4-18 years (19 if your child attends a special school) with continence needs.  

Referral Criteria for the Derbyshire Children’s Continence Service:

• Patients need to be 4 years old
• Under a Derbyshire ICB GP with;
• a complete level 1 checklist
• bladder and bowel diary
• referral form
