Referrals and Services

If considering a referral for Hip Arthroplasty, ensure there is a recent hip X-ray showing moderate or severe OA.

If the patient has a BMI over 35, encourage weight loss first, as this often results in a significant improvement in symptoms. 

If these criteria are met and the patient would consider surgery, refer using GP referral form.

County - MSK form and send via eRS to 'Musculoskeletal (MSK) Triage Derbyshire'.

City - MSK form and send via eRS to 'Musculoskeletal (MSK CATS) Triage Derby City'.
