DCHS currently provide the triage and onward referral service for people with long Covid symptoms across Derbyshire. As part of this assessment service, some patients may require additional support due to the complications and recovery from COVID-19 i.e., psychological distress of mild-moderate severity. For those patients referred into the assessment service they can now be referred for IAPT talking therapies (Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and health psychology by the clinician. Please note that this referral route is only appropriate for patients already referred to the Post COVID-19 Syndrome Assessment that require onward referral to additional services or MDT support.

For healthcare professionals that may come to the attention of a patient that may not necessarily meet the criteria for referral to the established Post Covid MDT but may require IAPT support you can contact Cat Bainbridge (TMHD) or the three Derbyshire IAPT services for support (see below) to discuss any possible referrals beforehand.
