Pennine Care CAMHS – Glossop

All referrals for children and adolescent mental health services in Tameside and Glossop now go through a single point of access team, in partnership with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council Early Help.

Referrals can be made through completion of the multi agency referrals service (MARS) form. Your referral will be checked by mental health professionals and allocated to the service that best meets the needs of the child or young person.

DHCFT CAMHS Urgent Care - South Derbyshire 

CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Team aims to triage and, where appropriate, offer an urgent community assessment and intervention within 4 hours (at CAMHS base or home for known CYP) for young people under the age of 18 years old, where they have presented in a mental health crisis, or with risks related to their mental health.

This service operates between 8am - 11pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year, with a professionals only referral system for GPs, other frontline services, and the 24/7 Mental Health Helpline.

CAMHS Liaison only take referrals from the Royal Derby Hospital, or 7-14 day follow up requests when a young person has presented to another hospital and has a GP within South Derbyshire and Derby City. This service operates between 8am - 11pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

CRHFT CAMHS Urgent Care - North Derbyshire

CAMHS North Derbyshire - Urgent Care

Responds to acute mental health presentation in young people under the age of 18. The Urgent Care team will respond within 4 hours where mental health presentation is serious 
If suitable, will see CYP in the community and work with CYP, family/carers to ensure the best outcome.
If a situation requires a quick response, please contact the Urgent Care Team between 10am – 10pm 365 days a year, to discuss a child or make a possible referral.

Referrals are considered urgent if there are:

  • Concerns that a child/young person is suicidal.
  • Concerns that a child/young person has an acute psychosis.
  • Concerns that a child/young person has an acute eating disorder, especially if there is rapid weight loss or worryingly low weight.

Please contact CAMHS Urgent Care if you would like to discuss any referral you consider to be urgent but that falls outside of these criteria.

PCFT CAMHS Urgent Care

24/7 All age Mental Health Liaison Team assess at the emergency departments (Stepping Hill / Tameside Hospitals)

CAMHS Crisis Service - community response: 8am to 10pm 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Community based 4-hour response, 72-hour intensive support period covering de-escalation, safety planning and brief intervention, and paediatric ward in-reach to facilitate timely discharge.

Intensive support team may be offered for a period at home to prevent admission or support discharge from hospital.

Kooth is a free, anonymous, confidential service which provides access to text-based counselling support from 12pm until 10pm on weekdays and 6pm until 10pm on weekends as well as 24/7 access to moderated online forums where concerns and relevant articles can be shared and discussed.
